Park was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea.[3][4] Her mother is a successful writer and illustrator of children's books in South Korea and her father is a professor.[5][6] Park's grandmother, who loved embroidering herself, inspired her fascination with intricate design.[7] Despite initial hesitation, her parents supported her move to London
